The BERLIN ART INSTITUTE (BAI) is an innovative and independent location for artistic training and advanced training.

The BERLIN ART INSTITUTE makes use of the large number of national and international artists in Berlin and generates its temporary and regular partners from this pool to make a broad and flexible training offer. The regular events of the BAI with alternating artists, critics, curators etc. enable all participants an exchange with the actors of contemporary art in Berlin during their study stay.

With its innovative concept of an international and contemporary “art school,” the BAI pursues the vision of advancing the relationship between art and training as a process of consciousness-raising in which the participants can discover and emancipate themselves. The BAI banks on a constructive and critical discourse on a par with all persons involved, whether beginners or professionals. The traditional master-student relationship contradicts the vision of the BAI.
